The units feature elegant terraces and large windows overlooking the residence. Each room is designed in contemporary style, well-lit and equipped with a cozy bed draped in a mosquito net, armchair, sofa seat, coffee table set, and a private bathroom fit with hot water shower.
The spacious, thatched dining area sits on top of the rocky kopje, heralding a bird’s eye view over the park and beyond. A steady breeze from Lake Kacheera makes it one of the coolest places in the lodge on a hot day. Overlooking a waterhole and salt lick, it is a perfect spot to enjoy delicious food and watch wildlife at the same time.
Suni designed the bar area in which a cement sofa curves around the existing granite rocks and small niches with paraffin lights add sparkle and a sense of cosines. Most importantly the bar is extremely well-stocked, so it is more than likely we can serve you your favorite tipple with a bowl of homemade nibbles. Our wine list boasts many South African wines and a few Australian.
An infinity pool overlooks the valley below where buffalo, eland, impala, warthogs, bushbuck, and zebra can be seen at the waterhole. On the rocks, you may have the rare chance of seeing the resident family of Klipspringers. We cannot guarantee that you will see a leopard, but on a night game drive, you do have a good chance.
Car hire, laundry, and housekeeping can be arranged on request. The guarded residence offers ample parking. Mihingo Lodge is situated 22 km away from the main road and a few meters beyond the Hide, a secret shelter known as the 'Den' located close to the watering hole.
