Located in Buhoma, the Gorilla Conservation Camp is only 500 meters from the entrance to the park gate. The camp is adjacent to the Conservation through Public Health (CTPH) Gorilla Health and Community Conservation Centre.
The camp offers spacious furnished tents and self-contained rooms in a newly built guesthouse. Each of the rooms has a balcony, en-suite bathroom, fresh linen and towels, mosquito net, hot water, ample space for a guest to pitch own tent. Stunning views of the Afromontane forest.
Our onsite restaurant with a professional chef to cater for any dietary needs. Guests are served delicious Intercontinental and Local dishes. A spacious thatched dining room/social area, campsite with shared facilities and a fireplace that overlooks the rainforest are available for guests to dine and unwind.
CTPH works in conjunction with Uganda Wildlife Authority to monitor gorilla health and analyze gorilla, human and livestock samples at the Centre to help prevent the spread of disease between the local population and the gorillas, helping to conserve the critically endangered mountain gorilla.
