Aneho (once called Anecho) is a town and commune in southeastern Togo and just 45km from the country’s capital, Lome. Aneho is popular as a slave market town and centre for voodoo. Aneho is part of the Maritime Region of Togo and has its economy primarily based on farming and fishing. Aneho lies between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Togo, and generally has the cool and calm of a small coastal town.
