Dedicated in 2010, The African Renaissance Monument (Le Monument de la Renaissance Africaine in French) is a tall bronze statue erected on top of one of the twin hills called Collines des Mamelles, outside Dakar. The statue was carved to celebrate the achievements of African people. It is meant to bring harmony among not just the Senegal people, but all Africans.
