About Ikoyi, Lagos
Ikoyi is an exclusive residential area on the island part of Lagos State, Nigeria. It wasformerly developed to serve as a residential area for the British expatriates during the colonial years dating back from 90s, the Dodan Barracks in Ikoyi was the residence of some of Nigeria’s military rulers. Ikoyi has developed into one the most opulent regions in Lagos State. The area lies at the edge of the Lagos Lagoon and on the northeast of Obalende.
