About Federal Capital Territory
Abuja the capital city of Nigeria is housed by the Federal Capital Territory, created in December 2004 to replace the scrapped Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory. Bordered by Kaduna, Niger, Nasarawa and Kogi state, Federal Capital Territory commonly called FCT is situated to the north of the River Niger and Benue confluence. FCT is the home of the administrative and political center of Nigeria, from the Aso Rock Presidential Villa to the National Assembly and many other international organizations such as the World Bank and United Nations. The Federal Capital Territory is characterized by the rocky terrain and the Zuma rock in Abuja.

The Federal Capital Territory has Abuja has the chief city with five other local councils namely Abaji, Gwagwalada, Bwari, Kwali and Kuje. The market town, Kuje has a colourful market where you will find assortment of wares sold. The market is held every four days. The city of Abuja is a well-planned with plush green areas, terraced houses and structures. You will find lovely picnic venues such the Aso Rock and Cave Gardens. You can also visit places like Wonderland Amusement Park, Julie Useni Zoo and the Abuja Arts and Craft Village
The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja has international and domestic terminals serving the federal capital territory. In Abuja, you can take a green and white cab to any destination and there are buses at bus stations. It is also possible to take Auto rickshaws commonly called keke napep along some routes in the city. Going to the suburbs, you can get buses at the motor parks going to places like Gwagwalada, Kuje and other parts.
