Etsako people are predominantly into farming with very fertile land producing groundnut, yam, maize, rice, cassava along with some nutritious vegetable and host of many other fruits.
The Agbede's were originally the makers of the artifacts in Benin before they evacuated the town due to threatened elimination for treason. The first king of Agbede, Oba Momodu was not educated, but was assumed to be endowed with the knowledge of various Languages.
The People of Etsako are widely known for their music that entertains a wide range of Nigerians with some of their neighbours adopting Etsako Music as their known and acceptable traditional music.
Etsako also houses a Prestigious Federal Polytechnic attended by students all over the state.
