Opuwo is a city in the Kunene Region of Nambia. The city also doubles as the capital of Kunene Region. Opuwo has an estimated population of about 15,000. The town has a number of banks and shops alongside a Post Office and petrol filling stations. The town also has a number of Protestant churches and schools. While going to the Epupa Falls or Kunene River, you can pass through the Marienfluss Valley and enjoy the best nature has to offer in Kaokoland. The Opuwo Town Council also organises the annual Opuwo Trade Fair during the month of May. The Opuwo Trade Fair has grown to become a fusion of business and culture of the people of Opuwo.
