Omaheke is a region in Namibia, it is one of the 14 regions in the country. It is located in the eastern part of Namibia, bordered by Botswana East, Otjozondjupa to the North, Khomas to the West and Hardap region to the South. The capital of Omaheke is Gobabis, with a population of over 19,000. The population of Omaheke as of 2011 was 70,800. Omaheke is quite densely populated compared to other regions in the country. Omaheke is a region where farming and safaris are the major activities done by the inhabitants of the region, although the northern part of the region is a wilderness filled with beautiful sceneries.
