About Eastleigh, Nairobi
Eastleigh is a bubbling suburb located in east of Nairobi's central business district. The area is largely populated by Somali immigrants, which earned Eastleigh the nickname Little Mogadishu
This area was allocated in 1921, by the colonial government, as a residential estate for Asians and elite Africans. It then became the home of many Kenyan Asians before independence, and it is now the home of many Somali Immigrants.
