Ivory Coast (English for Cote d’Ivoire) is a West African country that boasts of abundant rainforests, beach resorts, and a legacy of being a former French colony. The name Ivory Coast was born out of the country’s abundance in Ivory, which attracted trade with Europe. Production of Cocoa and coffee became huge in the country around the 60s turning the French speaking country to a leading economic capital around that period.
