About Lomie, Cameroon
Lomié is a developing town located in Lomié District in Upper Nyong division of the Eastern Province of Cameroon. The town is rich in cobalt and zinc and serves as base to the GEOVIC mining company. The roads from Lomié are connected to Abong-Mbang on the north through Mindourou, to Messok and Yokadouma through the east and Ngoila to the south.
Things to do in Lomie
There are a number of interesting historical buildings dating from the German and French era. Among which are the house of the senior civil administrator, a courthouse and a post-office. Another major attraction in Lomie where a number of tourists are often found is the Dja Faunal Reserve which is Cameroon’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site.
