Ngozi is the capital city of the Ngozi province of Burundi. Ngozi city is a market centre located at an elevation of 5,740ft. The area supports cattle raising and the growing of coffee, bananas, cassava (manioc), sweet potatoes, beans, and corn. Cassiterite, a tin oxide material used to produce desirable gems is also mined at Ngozi.
