Situated at the extreme north-eastern end of Botswana, Kasane is in the Okavango-Chobe region lying on the south bank of the Chobe River. The river is the border with Namibia's Caprivi Strip and the town is in close proximity to the point where four African countries-Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe are almost meeting. The town is a good place to also visit when visiting Victoria Falls. Kasane is the administrative capital of the Chobe District.
