The Botanical Garden Hamma (Jardin Botanique du Hamma), also called The Test Garden Hamma (Jardin d'Essai du Hamma) is a 58 hectare botanical garden located in Algiers. Since its establishement in 1832, it has been considered one of the most notable gardens in the world. Originally, the gardens principal role was to provide trees to European settlers and the public organisations. At the moment, the garden hosts the Algerian National Institute of Agronomical Research, and is open to visitors.
