Thika Road links Nairobi to towns in the central region of Kenya, starting with Thika. It is an 8-lane highway, popularly known as the Thika Superhighway. It was the first controlled-access road in Nairobi, and in the country. It was completed in 2012, and was one of the milestones of the Kibaki administration.
