Solio Ranch, also known as Solio Game Reserve, founded in 1970, is a 19,000-acre sanctuary popular for rhino breeding in Kenya. Solio Game Reserve is ideal for game safaris as it has a good population of lions, impalas, waterbucks, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, oryx, antelopes, Thompson's gazelles, and warthogs. The park also offers some of the best leopard viewing in the country, and lion and cheetah can also be found.

There are several activities which tourists engage in when they visit Solio Ranch, you can easily go on night and day game drives which gives you an opportunity to see several species which includes black and white rhinoceros, buffalo, leopard, lion, cheetah, zebra, leopard, lion, cheetah and others. Sightseeing is not just all the park has to offer, horse riding and mountain biking around Solio Ranch is another activity that tourist engage in during their visit to the reserve. You can take a helicopter ride to nearby Mount Kenya and enjoy a hilltop picnic breakfast.
The Ranch is nestled between Aberdare Ranges and Mount Kenya, a three hour drive from Nairobi on the Nyeri – Nyaharuru Road. By air, visitors can fly to Nanyuki Airstrip from Nairobi and from there, it takes less than 30 min to the Ranch.
