Located in the heart of Tanzania, Singida is one of the largest regions in the country. It is also the name of the town which serves as the regional capital, itself an important hub of transport, tourism and industry.
Due to its location in central Tanzania, Singida is incredibly well connected to other cities and towns across the country, with border crossing to Rwanda also available.
The town is also served by the Central Railway Line, which connects the town with Manyoni.
Perfect if you're after a more relaxed holiday in Tanzania, this town has plenty to see and do. Plan a visit to the Regional Museum and marvel at locally produced jewelery, handicrafts and weapons from indigenous tribes, or pack a picnic and leave the town limits to get away from it all on the shores of Lake Singida. This lake is home to a colourful host of bird and animal species and is the perfect retreat to the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
