Setif is one of Eastern Algeria's largest cities. With its tree-lined boulevards, colonial era architecture and many fountains, it's also one of the country's most attractive cities.
The nearest airport to Setif is Ain Arnat Airport, which is connected to other Algerian cities and a few European destinations. Getting from the airport to the city centre is simple, with both taxi and bus services available. And, when you get into the city, it's simple grid plan makes getting around no problem at all.
Pop in to the Stade 8 Mai 1945, a stadium with capacity of 25,000, and watch the popular Algerian football clubside ES Setif play one of their matches.
Another attraction worth visiting is the Parc d’Attractions, which is an amusement park best enjoyed in the summer months, featuring a pirate boat, a lake for boating, games, rides and many other thrills.
You can also take the less than 50mins drive to Djemila and see the famous Djemila ruins. The Djemila ruins, which were once called Cuicul, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing a well-preserved Roman architecture from the 1st century AD.
