Situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, Port Elizabeth is called the “Friendly City”, and just taking a look at it demonstrates why.
The area is home to some stunning places to visit and tourist destinations — the most impressive of which are the beaches: Kings Beach, Hobie Beach and Humewood Beach in Algoa Bay and Nelson Mandela Bay offer a range of water-based pursuits, as well as an opportunity to relax and soak up some sunshine.
There’s a huge amount of culture to be found at the Red Location Museum, which portrays the terrible world of institutionalised racism. For some light-hearted entertainment, pay a visit to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum.
And close by you will find St George’s Park, which is the oldest park in the city and the home of the famous St George’s Park Cricket Oval.
Other places to see include the Donkin Reserve, the Seaview Predator Park and the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Complex.
