Ngaparou is a town on the coast of Senegal in West Africa, which offers fresh seafood, locally made craft products and an unspoiled, stunning beach to enjoy.
Getting to Ngaparou is easy. The closest airport to the town is Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport in Senegal's capital, Dakar, which is around 35 miles away. To get to your destination, the best option is to hail a "sept-place" taxi cab or to take a seat in a Ndiaga Ndiaye (minibus) that is heading in that direction. Whatever transportation method you choose, you'll adore Ngaparou.
The beach is the main attraction and is a wonderful place to soak up some tropical sunshine or paddle in the placid waters of the Atlantic Ocean. However, you can also visit the charismatic and beautifully coloured tropical birds at the Parc Exotique de Nguerigne, or drive to nearby Thies with its museum, French colonial fort and lively markets.
You can visit the zoo, go sightseeing (watching the sunset over the beach), fishing or have a fun day at the beach.
For seafood lovers - crabs, fishes and lobsters are in abundance. You can end your day in one of the lounges/clubs, enjoying the view of dancers.
