Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is a project of Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Conservation Trust located on Ngamba Island also referred to as Chimp Island. The human population has a designated area of 1 acre separated from the 39 acres where Chimps roam freely by an electric fence.
This Chimpanzee sanctuary is home to more than 40 orphaned and confiscated chimpanzees, rescued all over Uganda. Visit this magical place and view these interesting creatures at 11am and 2:30 pm. when it's feeding time.
Ngamba Island is about 23km away from Entebbe on Lake Victoria.You can reach the sanctuary by a short boat ride from Entebbe.
