Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake in the Great Rift region. The Aberdare Ranges feeds it, and it is one of the most popular lakes in the country. This lake is a RAMSAR Site. Fish in this lake includes tilapia and cray fish. There are also several species of birds and mammals around the lake.
Lake Naivasha is the highet lakes of Rift Valley lakes at more than 1800m above seal level. This freshwater lake is a short distance from Naivasha Town, and 1-hour drive from Nairobi offering a scenic panorama of other attractions in the Great Rift region such as Mount Longonot. Activities on this lake include fishing and boat riding.
