Kribi is on the coast of Cameroun and is a popular beach destination. The sand is soft and the sea is clear so it is perfect for relaxing holidays and delicious seafood. Located in the South Region, Kribi is 150km away from Douala, Cameroun's largest city.
The closest international airport is in Douala. There is a small, local airport just outside Kribi but most travellers get around by minibus or moto taxi (motorbikes).
The weather in this area is always hot, with the coolest temperatures of around 26C in July, August and September. In September and October it rains nearly every day.
The best attraction here is the 6km long beach. The most popular place to visit nearby is The Chutes de la Lobe where there is a waterfall roaring into the ocean and you can take a trip on a dugout canoe. Enjoy grilled, freshly caught fish for lunch too.
Other points of interest in the city include the newly built Port of Kribi and the Kribi Lighthouse. Don’t forget to visit the Kribi market to sample the variety of local delicacies.
