Kigamboni is one of the least frequented beaches of Tanzania's largest city, Dar es Salaam. Kigamboni Beach has a vast stretch of white sands commonly referred to as South Beach. Taking an early morning walk before the temperatures get too high can be quite a treat. There are points of Kigamboni Beach where swimming is not possible due to low tides hence the Mangroove Forests. There are also various beach resorts on Kigamboni Beach.
The resort is easily accessible from Dar es Salaam's Julius Nyerere Airport. When visitors touch down, they just need to hop on the ferry from Kivukoni Front and then take a dalla-dalla (shared minibus) to the beach. Alternatively, you can rent a car and drive to your destination, a journey of around 20 miles.
