The Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre is the final resting place to close to 300,000 genocide victims. It was set up in honor of the vcitims and to also act as reminder of the effects of tribalism. The centre is located in Gisozi, approximately a ten minute drive from Kligali.
The easiest way to reach the centre is by car or taxi. Kigali Memorial centre is open daily as from 8:00am to 5:00 pm except during public holidays. You should note that last entrance is at 4:00 pm. If you are planning on visiting Kigali Memorial as a group, it is advisable to secure a booking before time.
Visit the Kigali Memorail Centre for a guided tour. The guided tour occurs in groups of at least 4 people and features exhibitions that document the genocide and compare it with similar events like Germany. You can aslo take photograps while at the museum.
