Italian Memorial Catholic Church was built by Italians soldiers captured as prisoners of war during World War 2. The catholic church stands at 5km from Nyeri Town in a serene part of town with views of the Nyeri Hills.
Visit the church to admire its architectural design and also see the walls of the church where the names of the fallen soldiers are inscribed. There is a tomb right before the alter of the the Duke of Aosta who led Italian forces in East Africa during World War 2. In 1937, he was made Prince Amedeo Savoia-Aosta.
