Egypt has some of the world's oldest historical monuments on earth. It is famous for pyramids that stand tall in various parts of the country. The ancient Egypt started from the early Predynastic settlements of the northern Nile Valley to 30 BC during the Roman conquest. Evidence of rock carvings was found around 10th millennium BC along the desert oases and the Nile terraces. As at 6000 BC, a Neolithic culture emerged in the Nile Valley and by 8000 BC climate changes and overgrazing dried up the land of Egypt. Modern Egypt is a total contrast from the ancient one.
