The Chyulu Hills are located near Tsavo West and Amboseli National Parks. The series of volcanic hills offer excellent views of the woodland savannah where there is plenty of game.
Chyulu Hills were formed as a result of volcanic eruption forming a long volcanic field of 100 km. These volcanoes are still considered active, since their last two eruptions (Shaitani and Chainu) occurred in 1856.

It is possible to enter the park from Tsavo West by road.
If driving from Nairobi turn right off the Mombasa Road at Kibwezi, onto a sign posted road that leads to Kithasyo Gate and Park HQ.
