Benin is a French speaking country in West Africa and home to the former kingdom of Dahomey. Abomey, Dahomey's former capital, hosts a Historical Museum that occupies two royal palaces.
Benin also hosts the Pendjari National Park, Royal Palace Porto Novo and Musée en Plein Air de Parakou-a museum located south of Parakou city.
A good attraction you can enjoy in Benin is the Pendjari National Park. At this park you can enjoy big game such as the last population West African Lions, Elephants, Antelopes, Buffalo, Hippopotamuses and birds.
The Royales Palaces of Abomey, which was founded by the Fon people of Benin in far back 1625 is an ancient attraction that you mustn’t miss while in Benin. The palace was inscribed by UNESCO as one of the World Heritage Sites in Africa in 1985.
