The Bardo National Museum is situated at the center of Algiers. It tells the story of the different ethnicities of Algeria. The museum has a vast collection of objects dating from the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods.
The Algerian collections in the museum come from archaeological excavations while foreign collections come from international institutions. The major part of this place is the famous skeleton of Tin Hinan, former queen of the Tuaregs.
The National Museum of Bardo is open from Sunday to Thursday from 9.00 am. 17h.
