Jovago Pakistan recently took interview with Karolina and Patryk, a couple and famous travel bloggers. They love traveling and have running a travel blog sharing their experiences, tips and a lot more.

They haven’t yet visited Pakistan yet but have listed it down for their future travel destination.

1. How and when you developed interest for traveling?

We discovered it during our first trip to Denmark in 2012. We felt wonderful abroad! Discovering new places, hearing a foreign language and meeting new people is something that you can’t compare to anything else. We just love traveling. 🙂

2. How did you meet each other? Was it while traveling?

No, we meet on personal development training in Cracow when we were still students. We haven’t even imagined that time, that we will become full-time travelers one day. Life may be surprising some times. In our case it was a REALLY nice surprise!

3. What job/business you do for earning?

Now we mainly make money from our blog. At the beginning, we also owned a company to finance our travels. It was e-commerce business in a dropshipping model. Thanks to this we learnt a lot about the internet business. Now, after selling it we can concentrate to help others how to make their dreams come true. Because everything is possible – even traveling around the world, visiting great places and earn online for that

4. How you plan and manage your finances for traveling?

We always have savings for minimum a year of our life in the standard that what we like. It gives us freedom- we can do anything we want. Every month we prepare a budget what helps us to not spend too much.

5. What is that triggers you to travel to an entirely new destination?

Before, we just chose a destination randomly. When we found cheap airline-tickets, we were buying them. Now, when we are treating our blog as a company, we mainly go to places where we can find good cooperation opportunities.

6. While visiting a new destination what two things your love to explore the most?

We love discovering different cultures. Learning to speak even basics of local language, getting to know local customs and meeting local people. We also love trying local food! Every country has different tastes, spices and flavours. It is really beautiful.

7. How do you plan your destinations?

We love finding places that are visited only by locals, hidden gems of each country. We like wandering around and going off-the-beaten paths.

8. Do you have any funny travel stories?

Oh yes, we have many of them! The funniest story we have from Thailand. When we were flying from Phuket to Bangkok, Karolina was sitting next to the very crazy Thai lady. It was her first flight and she was extremely nervous. She was hugging Karolina all the time, she literally couldn’t sit there alone! Karolina hold her hand patiently and Patryk done nothing but laugh. It was a really funny situation.

9. Have you had any bad experiences whilst travelling?

Unfortunately yes. Paradoxically, the worst travel experience we have from the US. In Washington, DC one guy came to us and asked for money. He looked like a drug addict, so Patryk refused. He got really angry and said that he will come back to us and kill him. We were terrified. This guy looked like he really meant it.

10. How do you manage when interacting with people without speaking their language?
Almost everything we can show using our hands. Technology is also our friend! We can always use translation apps to communicate with people in their own language.

11. Which destination you felt is not actually like you had imagined before?

Almost every place. Now we are living in Malaysia, before arriving here for the first time, all we knew about this country is that airplanes crush here. It turned out that Malaysia is really beautiful, safe and multicultural place. We believe that every country is amazing and each of us sees it differently. For example, everybody is really crazy about Paris. For us this city is just overrated and we don’t like it at all.

12. Any 3 money saving tips you would like to share while traveling?

  • Keep an eye on your money – it is very easy is overpay for everything in a new place
  • Ask locals – just ask where you can buy local food or find the cheapest accommodation
  • Be prepared – almost everything you can find in the internet, including tips on how to save money in the specific places

13. What do you like the most about traveling?

Everyday you learn something new. Thanks for this your days will not merge. When we are in one place for too long, we can’t describe what we have done for a whole week. It is just one memory for us. And when we travel, we remember each day like it was a whole year. It’s amazing. Someone wise said that when you travel, you live twice. We can’t agree more with this quote.

14. What do you dislike about traveling?

We really hate carrying our luggages. Travelling without our suitcases would be so much easier! Unfortunately, it’s impossible to travel for a long time without any clothes, cosmetics, laptops, cameras etc.

15. What do you take back from your expeditions?

Only photos, videos and memories. We don’t buy anything that is unnecessary.

16. Your trips low on the pocket or you like to make it extravagant?

We plan our budget carefully but we don’t like staying in budget places. We prefer traveling in a luxury. Travelling is our life though, so we can’t spend too much money during a trip.

17. Did you ever think of traveling to Pakistan?

Of course! We plan to visit all countries on the world, including Pakistan. We’ve heard it’s a very beautiful country :).

18. If you get a chance to visit Pakistan what are the 3 destination you would prioritize to explore?

Definitely Deosai National Park, Rama Lake and of course Islamabad.

19. What is Pakistan’s current perception in International travelers and international travel blogger’s community?

We believe the perception of Pakistan is getting better. Some people are still afraid of visiting this country because of the risk of terrorism. Governments of most countries warn their citizens to be very careful when traveling to Pakistan. But we think every country is safe, only if you follow the warnings and safety rules.

Finally with this question Jovago’s formal interview came to an end.  We hope to see the couple visiting Pakistan soon.
