Visiting Naypyidaw

Naypyidaw is located near Pyin Ma Nar city and is the capital city of Myanmar that was replaced with Yangon. For those people who want to get out for a while from the busy city Yangon, let me guide you to the Naypyidaw that drives nearly 5 hours away.

 Water Foundation Park

The Water Foundation Park is another place that you must visit in Naypyidaw. It’s wide 165 acres. The entry fees are MMK 700 for one person. The best time to visit Water Foundation Park is the night. The park looks more beautiful with the lights at night. Also, you can see the various kinds of waterfalls in the park.

Jewels Museum

This is a museum where you can study different kinds of jewels in Myanmar such as Ruby, Sapphire and Jade. It is closed every Saturday and Sunday, unlike other museums.  Also, you are not allowed to take photos of these jewels.


Safari Park

If you are looking for a place to bring your kids for fun, Safari Park is the best choice for you. It is the largest zoological garden in Myanmar. It displays dividing three parts like Asian, Australia and Africa. This big zoo display white-tiger, bears, penguins and camels from around the world. It is the highly recommended place for the picnic.

National Museum

You should not miss visiting National Museum to get the local knowledge. It is located at Zabu Thiri Township, YaZahtarni Road. The museum opens 9 am to 4 pm. It showcases many of Buddha statues and cultural things.


Uppatsanti Pagoda

I suggest you visit Uppatasanti Pagoda. It is the famous pagoda in Naypyidaw. The pagoda is a little like with the Shwedagon Pagoda. So people called it Shwedagon Pagoda in Naypyidaw.
