Blue cabanna

There is something special about meeting someone for the first time. The rush of adrenalin, the butterflies and then the feeling that comes with the ‘Yes’ she says when you ask her out on a date. The need to impress her surges through you and you know you just have to make sure the date is perfect. At this point, finding the right place to take her becomes priority. If you are in Abuja, Nigeria and you are looking for the best restaurant to take your date for the evening, Travel.Jumia.com, Africa’s No. 1 online Hotel booking portal has compiled a list of 5 restaurants that will spoil her with mind-bendingly flavorful food and have her eating out of your hand.

Mabushi District across from Setraco Building, Abuja 900108, Nigeria

Popular and prized, Blue Cabana is one of the best upscale restaurants in Abuja. Once inside, your date will stop trying to escape and will instead be slightly astounded by the surfeit of food on their menu: is a mix of Western dishes, Mediterranean dishes (mainly Lebanese) as well as other dishes from around the world and some African dishes.  Very exquisite and tranquil, both setting and food are kind of phenomenal, and you feel as if they might disappear if you close your eyes for too long. Not unlike certain of the best evenings, and certain of the people in whose company you have the privilege of spending them. The food is fresher than the dollar-dumpling competition, but the prices remain pleasingly low. Dishes costs on average 3000-5000 Nigerian Naira.

No. 20 Ganges Street, Ministers Hill, Maitama, Abuja.

Finding the perfect restaurant for a romantic date can be tricky. It’s always less awkward to go somewhere you will not run into a lot of people, that way you can spend time getting to know your date, as opposed to stopping to say hello to the people you know when they walk in. Chez Victor is one of those restaurants where you can get the escape you need. Open the doors to this restaurant and you will transition from utter doubt to instant pleasure. Here you will sit at a quiet table in a small room with few of them, in an unexpectedly cozy yet elegant atmosphere and find yourself being poured wine and served French cuisine on carefully orchestrated plates.

11 Aliyu Mohammed Road,Life Camp, Abuja.

Offering full Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner buffet from a variety of both international and traditional Nigerian dishes, you can have your date at any time of the day in this restaurant. The Clubhouse Restaurant & Resort is the perfect place to take a date who enjoys an atmosphere with cool ambiance and sophisticated decor. The menu has a plethora of Lebanese and international cuisine with elegant presentation. The members of staff are attentive, your dinner will arrive quite on time, your date will be impressed and you will be happy.

Ladi Kwali Way, Maitama, Abuja.

If you think about it, there are fewer places as utterly romantic as a restaurant with lamps. The Papillon Restaurant is one of Abuja’s optimum buffet restaurants with magnificent greenery and clear blue fountain water. Located within Sheraton Hotel, it is popular for its full Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner buffet from a variety of both international and traditional Nigerian cusines. They also offer special treats each day of the week from their specially packaged Theme Nights. The restaurant is gorgeous but unintimidating. Part of its enormous appeal is how warm and clannish it is. Despite the fact that it is in a hotel, you would feel at home dining here, in quiet conversation, the beautiful plates of food as familiar and intimate as the company.

No.1, Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja.

Dine on traditional Nigerian cuisine at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja hotel. Join business guests and locals as you feast on continental favorites from the buffet. African-style dark woods blend with light walls as natural light streams in at this Abuja restaurant, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you are taking a Nigerian girl out on a date in Abuja, nothing says ‘I like you’ quite as much as getting her a seat at a restaurant as fabulous as Bukka Hut. Whether you do this by winning the reservations, or actually upsetting your bank account by making withdrawals for the date, you are bound to win her over.  Located in Transcorp Hilton hotels, Abuja, Bukka Hut is one of top restaurants in the city that offers an à la carte menu of authentic Nigerian favorite dishes in a romantically cool setting. With an African-style dark woods blend with light walls as natural light streams, patrons are bound to have an exquisitely dreamy dinner date.

    1) Blue cabana has a nice ambience…. especially the poolside
    2) Chez victor has horrible food…… especially if you have a Nigerian palette… wait no, other people from exotic places and with exotic palettes hated the food
    3) Club house is nice
    4) Never tried Papillion restaurant.
    5) Bukka is a regular restaurant with a regular buffet. It does have really good breakfast and Nigerian food. I don’t think its location at the Hilton makes it special for a date, it is NOT intimate at all.
