A 5 Day Mwanza City tour will  give you unrivalled adventure in the western side of Tanzania. It is easy to connect either from Kilimanjaro Airport or from Dar es Salaam to Mwanza City.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mwanza

The Mwanza City tour will begin when you arrive at Dar es Salaam Airport in the evening. Get on a connecting flight to Mwanza City and you will be picked up from Mwanza Airport and transferred to a hotel, such as Malaika Beach Resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mwanza City to Saa Nane Island

After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, head down to the jetty along the lake shore in Mwanza for a boat ride (about 15 minutes) to Saa Nane Island. Saa Nane Island is a small wildlife sanctuary located on a rocky island in Lake Victoria. The park is home to a number of wildlife animals such as impalas, rock hyraxes, vervet monkeys, and wild cats among others. In the evening, head back to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Cultural Tour around Mwanza

After breakfast, embark on a trip to another exciting area on your Mwanza City tour. This time, you will be canoeing on Lake Victoria. The view of the lake is breathtaking after which you will drive back to the hotel for lunch, then depart to Mwanza City via Bujora Museum Centre. This is where the Sukuma tribal museum is located. At the museum, you’ll find traditional archaeologists doing presentations. Later, visit the snake house. In the evening, proceed to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Mwanza to Serengeti National Park

On Day four, leave Mwanza City around 9:30am for the Serengeti National Park through the western corridor via Ndabaka Gate. Ensure you visit the hippos and crocodiles pool, on your way to enjoy a game drive in Serengeti Park. Wildlife to see includes lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, impalas, gazelle, wildebeests, and more than 200 different species of birds. The game drive marks the end of your Mwanza City tour. In the evening, proceed to your hotel, such as Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Dar es Salaam City

After breakfast, depart to Serengeti National Park Airstrip for your flight to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in Dar es Salaam at around noon ready to catch a flight back home.
